lyrics
elevator down, to find me
what have you been up to since you’ve left my mind?
it was all in my head, all this time
all the waiting eyes were never kind
you kept me close, to please me
curiosity has made it easy
silent all the alarms, I’ll be fine
it’s a stretch to believe your words were mine
‘cause you’re escaping through the glass again
but then she gets into your head
and when you’re trying to go out instead
you never know which way to go
you could write a book, then burn it
as a reckless sign of apathy
you got lost in the way, we’re just two strangers
there’s a sign on the wall, that will guide us maybe
‘cause you’re escaping through the glass again
but then she gets into your head
and when you’re trying to go out instead
you never know which way to go

This is one of the ultimate antidisconsolators. Can't remember when exactly I stumbled upon it but, Sure, it was love at first listen. It spoke to everything about me then, much as now; the anguish, the fear, the fatigue.
Never even got my ass to a show but I don't think any other record sums up my time in NYC the way this does. Still not over it, and vastly not over myself, but I'll always love this.
My favourite is probably KYS, for that heavily sardonic humor... It had to be done. Kenneth Sabalo

The excellent new LP from Seattle’s Fotoform pairs the moodiness of goth with drifting dream pop melodies, resulting in bewitching songs. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 18, 2021
Castlebeat’s “VHS” offsets bright, jangly songs with smoky, lo-fi production, giving their pie-eyed melodies a sense of mystery. Bandcamp New & Notable May 7, 2018
